Bonfire Plot worked out well.

Hmm. Still groggy from our bonfire night party (without a bonfire). We had lots of fireworks and rockets. I still have 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 fingers, omg, where did that finger go!
Read the rest of this post.

No, this year I managed to light all the fireworks without getting burnt. Some good fireworks again this year, even out of small 20 pound boxes. A couple were mini versions of the firework described in the previous post. I had the brainwave of standing the fireworks in a bag of sand. Just cut a square out of the bag. This was better than trying to stand them up on the drive.
Then after the last two rockets went up together the party really started. I must thank Tom Kaine for the 4 bottles of home-made wine. I polished off most of a bottle of Rose and the neighbour's managed the white and red. The neighbour's daughter had a great night and sat on the sofa for most of the night. My son's aspbergers got the best of him half way through the night and he slunk off into a corner to play on the computer. Both my daughters decided that you drink a full glass of wine like a shot and had 3 glasses. Needless to say they were pretty (falling off the sofa) drunk and very happy. It took an age to get them to bed.
In the morning, feeling good, but not OK, I took the lads to the swimming baths. It's a lot more fun now that they're able to swim 50m. They love going on the slides and diving boards. My ribs are still playing me up but I got by enjoying watching them have fun.
